Curious to see how much you guys paid/pay for housing in college.  I am currently paying 320 a month for a 6 bedroom 3 bath house.

Seems like I paid a little under $300 for a 5br/3ba house.  Not sure though, my folks actually paid it.

Was on the phone with Time Warner a bunch today, attempting to get some free cable for a month or something.  Each hourly paid customer service person I told my situation to was like "Yeah I was bummed, I'm a big KU fan"

LOL.  My assistant said the same thing when she called for me.  I didn't want anything free, just an apology.

2nd-richest university in the current Big 12 vs. the poorest university in the current Big 12.  Awesome.

Quote
Endowment
See also: List of U.S. colleges and universities by endowment

    Texas (System-wide) - $14,052 million
    Texas A&M (System-wide) - $5,738 million
    Kansas (System-wide) - $1,055 million
    TCU - $1,048 million
    Missouri (System-wide) - $975 million
    Oklahoma - $968 million
    Baylor - $872 million
    Texas Tech (System-wide) - $775 million
    Iowa State - $509 million
    Oklahoma State - $495 million
    West Virginia (System-wide) - $337 million
    Kansas State - $278 million

Figures above are as of 2010.

So, so poor.  Hopefully a couple pig farmers win the lottery in the next few years and bring the grapes out from the basement.  Someone who graduated from K-State has to get rich one of these days.

Quit stealing material from DocNaismith Beems.

Remember when you used to brag about how much more money ku athletics made than K-State, and how K-State athletics was in "shambles" and Lew as "Building a Monster"?

KU's current endowment is $1.2 billion, and they just raised over $150 million last year in private contributions alone (nearly half of K-State's total).

So those were all cash contributions?   K-State raised $110 million, of course I understand those weren't all cash or cash equivalent contributions,  and you're off by $70 million on K-State's permanent endowment, and total endowment assets are nearly $550 million.

Of course that doesn't change the reality that in about 2 years John Currie has K-State neck and neck with ku in total revenues, and he's pulling in piles of private contributions.

State of the art basketball practice facility, more upgrades to our stand alone track (ku's . . . still on the drawing board, what is it now?  8 or 9 years and counting) . . . and of course, much more than that on the horizon.

Now John Currie looks at his operating bank accounts flush with cash, while Cheyenne Zulu "hopes" he can break even.

To tell you the truth, 'Pad, I have a new found respect for K-State after moving to Oregon.  My g/f is an Oregon State grad, and I'm seeing life from a whole new perspective.  I really don't like pissing you guys off and saying mean things about how poor your school is.  But hey, someone has to defend KU when there's a 29 page thread calling all of us poor and trying to pretend like K-State is just swimming in cash.  The animosity you guys feel towards KU is the same animosity Oregon State fans feel towards Oregon.  I get it.
