I sometimes use a solar-powered calculator if I need a calculator at court and if I'm already using my phone simultaneously. They kind of suck.

They kind of suck.My parents had some solar powered landscaping lights along the sidewalk to the front door. They were horribly dim, so they were replaced with hardwired ones. You can buy 25 of the solar ones for $30 or so.
http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/first-solar-inc/fslr/nasFSLR opened at $24.50/share in 2006 and peaked at $308/share in 2008. That's quite a substantial increase.
For example: First Solar (FSLR) – (up 4,685%) and Trina Solar (TSL) – (up 1,774%) during 2010 have both had good years – and investors who got in early are no doubt very happy they did so.

Whatever happens to First Solar in the future, it will always live on as part of goEMAW folklore right up there with the Amare Camp and the selection committee.

It's not going anywhere. Like I said, though, the solar industry is going through a transition phase right now, and a lot of the smaller companies will start to consolidate with companies like First Solar in the future.

If this was 2001, beems would be investing his entire 401k in Enron.
