If ku's athletic budget was nearly double K-State's it would be over $90 million dollars, instead it's about $65 million, not even close to doubling K-State.
In addition, unlike ku athletics, K-State athletics doesn't count capital giving as operating revenue, so the $16 million raised to build the BTF won't be counted as annual revenue for K-Stae athletics. Giving to the Ahearn Fund last FY was over $16 million dollars. K-State athletics sells more suites and club seats than ku athletics, and is in the planning stages of a $50 million dollar plus new press box and suite facility on the west side of BSFS. Meanwhile the "Gridiron Club" is completely stalled and the track facility at ku is completely on the back burner, going into year 7 . . . and still waiting on that.
