really wish that ksufans was still around so i could pull up jmarts quote that frank would be here for 4 years only, win a bunch of games and then bounce. would make this more fun.
I don't make much of a millionaire's attorney on retainer paying him a visit. Maybe, he is discussing other offers, doesn't matter to me & I'm sure its going to happen. I don't expect Frank to be here for 10+ years. If he leaves I prefer he leaves like this & not fired. He's done way more than any if us expected, if he decides to take his talents to Raleigh, I'll just be thankful for the many fist pump moments & the practice facility.
Its gonna happen, better to emotionally prepare for it.
As much as folks wanted to brush over it, I think the Angel Rodriguez comment about wanting to see where Frank lands was foreshadowing to something more ominous down the road. He's getting counseling from Art and Shakey, and if those guys knew with 100% certainty that Frank would be here for the long haul, he'd have signed his LOI by now.
It may not be this year (as it doesn't look like there are a lot of really good looking jobs thus far), but I too would be surprised if he's here in another three or four years.
I think he'll be here next year, though, mainly because it doesn't look like there will be a lot of great jobs opening this spring/summer. NC State may end up being the best of the bunch...assuming that GT doesn't find some way to scare up the $7 million or whatever to fire Hewitt. Haith probably keeps his job one more season because Miami probably doesn't want to buy out two coaches in one academic year. Otherwise, I don't think there's going to be much in the ACC/SEC/Big East that really has him salivating to leave.
That is, of course, assuming he doesn't want to get the hell away from Currie, which would just be speculation and hearsay at this point.
