2. If Kansas State were playing better, this would be an interesting draw for the Wildcats. But it's hard to have faith in them right now. They could just as easily fall flat in the first round to Utah State or advance to the Sweet 16 or Elite Eight.3. Speaking of Utah State, I think this is finally the year the Aggies win a game or two. They drew a team in Kansas State that is in flux, they have veteran players, and they have been playing on edge for weeks to assure themselves of a bid. The Aggies also have the advantage of playing close to home in Tucson, Ariz.

Also, the close to home thing is kinda bogus; I used the Googlebots and found out that Logan is like 14 and a half hours away from Tuscon.
Doug has us in the Elite 8!

Three second-round games to watch1. Butler-Old Dominion in the 8-9 game pits two teams with experience winning in the NCAA tournament against each other. ODU knocked off Notre Dame last season while Butler reached the title game. Each has some new pieces, but either team has a real shot at giving Pitt trouble in the third round. 2. UCLA-Michigan State is too sexy of a matchup not to highlight. Both teams have had their struggles, but it will be difficult to match that kind of brand recognition so early in the NCAA tournament. 3. Kansas State-Utah State is the ultimate 5-12 upset pick. Utah State has an opportunity to finally make a name for itself and maybe get coach Stew Morrill some national love by winning a game against an elite team.
