What are our best and worst case scenarios for next year?  With how much defections, graduating seniors, etc have cost us this year, I'm a lil concerned about not having any leadership/ capable P.G. and stuff.  TIA for your prognostications.

I was thinking about this on the way to Chipotle today where I had a double chicken burrito bowl with guacamole.  Delicious...

Anyway... We were competitive without Jacob vs. UNLV.  I think we'll have very low expecations but be an NCAA tourney team... 7 to 10 seed.

Sprads and McOrebs will be our floor generals.  Jam Sam will be the 3 and our "doberman".

Angel, 95, and Irving can give us minutes at the 1 and 2.

If we can get the kid from Seward could he get some 2/3 time and score buckets?

That leaves Gipson, Diaz, and JO to run things down low. I assume we'll stick with the 1 post offense we've been jacking around with. 

I don't think things look horrible.  If we defend and get after it we can compete.  20-10 ish?

I think we are a worse team than we should have been this year /  are playing right now.  We'll be in or around the tournament.  With the 1ish post offense, we're looking at JO, Jamar, Rodney, and some combo of Sprads, Shane, Marty, Nick (I hope ), Nino, 95, Canada, and Angel.  I don't think that is too bad.  We need to be able to steal minutes at the 4 with Rodney, which he has proven reasonably capable of as late. We need JO to continue developing, and we need a guard or three to be a threat to score.  I don't think any of that is unreasonable.  I think its a better / deeper team than the 06-07 team that won 21 games before the Dr. Pepper.

Not bare, but many will have to make a pretty good jump to fill the roles we will need them to next year and I don't think it is reasonable to expect the many to all make that jump.

Jake is by far our best scorer/creator and on ball defender.  Curt our best big.

Unless Angel is amazing, we will have to replace Jake with multiple players contributing successfully and efficiently.  

Unless Diaz/gip is amazing, we will have to hope Jordan makes a huge leap in ability.

We have a shot at being OK, but we could very easily be much worse than this year.

Realistically, we are going to be asking a group of couple of very young guards and a group of very mediocre guards to fill the gap jake leaves.

Learn your lesson from this season.  Start with low expectations.

I have high hopes for Angel.  My reasoning:  he speaks spanish (I assume) and Clemente spoke spanish.  also, Angel looks bigger than I thought he would be.  also, I watched Louisville's latino guard Siva play and he's pretty awesome and Pitino recruited Angel
