It is one of the dumbest talking points in basketball. I get more and more annoyed at the dumb stats that are throw out there all the time, but this is the worst.

well lets be honest.  The announcers are working off stats sheets for talking points and only prep for a game a day or two in advance.  Maybe they troll youtube for highlights.  Not a lot of sources of info unless you are well studied like Gottlieb.

I just don't find myself getting upset over what a game announcer has to say.  Except for Fox's instant replay analyst, the former NFL official.  That dude was almost always wrong.  I mean, seriously, almost always.  And you knew he was going to be wrong because you could see it for yourself right there on the replay.  What a joke that guy was.  Sheesh.

I think she is a pretty good announcer.  I think most women who make it are.  It's kind of like being a white rapper, you have to be really good to actually get the shot.

Lawson's analysis was decent as previously mentioned. She actually understands the game and doesn't lapse into a bunch of nonsensical crap like Pam Ward. However, their PbP sounded half asleep, kept throwing cliche after cliche about us that his stat crew likely coached him on before the game, and ultimately he probably thought that the Hawkeyes were playing the squawks or something . He was the textbook definition of a scrub play-by-play
