CK and all the bigs defense was fantastic tonight. Diaz and the house looked like fools at times.

Yeah, this cannot be overstated.

This is precisely why all CK hate is utterly misguided. He was the best of our posts in keeping the corn posts from making anything happen.

CK at his best is a first round draft pick.  CK at his worst is an international bench player.  Agree?

no.

Prob second round.  Not a good enough rebounder either.  His length NBA gms would love.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

doesn't do anything well enough to deserve a look.  not an efficient scorer, ridic high turnovers, not a strong rebounder, not strong period, not a good enough shooter for a pick and fade big (but could probably develop that), not a great athlete.  about the only thing he has going for him are really long arms.

Diaz and The House were 3-16 from the floor combined.

the focus and effort on defense in the 1st half was great.

CK's 4th and 5th fouls looked to be caused by fatigue

Reasons to hate him.......

1) In his mind, he has never made a mistake in his life.  And for that, I hate him.

2) He should probably just saw off his left arm because it's rough ridin' useless.  He can't drive left.  If he does, he will do his spin move to his right.  It's every god damn rough ridin' time.

3) Shoot the rough ridin' foul line extended shot when you are open.  At least 15 times tonight he got the ball at the free throw line with no one even thinking about putting a hand in his face and he never even considered looking at the basket.  eff him (and frank too)

I'm all for the "omg!  i love ck!  he shrugs his shoulders after every foul and its so cute!!"  But JFC.........you are the biggest waist of NBA talent this university has ever seen.  Thank you for the wins and stuff.......seriously.......thank you.  But go eff yourself and die.  K, thanks.

you must be a miserable person
lol no crap. and he can't shoot without his left arm fwiw.

CK was great tonight.

Great defense...

I was going to read the entire thread until I read this.

COMPLETE BULLSHIT

Look at how Jordan played Diaz and look how Kelly played him.  This conference season CK has played every big exactly the same, he lets them catch and then he puts his hands up, stands on his heels and gets pushed back.  The fact that he let Diaz back him down is disgusting.  He is far too strong to allow that stick to back him up.  All of his fouls are passive, all of them.

When Jordan played Diaz, Jordan put his torso in Diaz's space, Jordan was the aggressor, not Diaz.  Jordan, the thinnest player in the Frank Martin era did not allow himself to be backed down.  It had nothing to do with his height, it was simply moving into his space.  I challenge you to watch the replay on ESPN3 and tell me that Curtis didn't allow himself to be backed down and he made passive fouls.

I'll give you that Curt got backed down, but he didn't let Diaz turn to his dominant shoulder and effected shots. Plus, I said all the bigs played well defensively.

He was lucky that Diaz sucks, that isn't good defense, Curtis made no attempt to take anything away from Diaz, he just put his arms up and let Diaz, bury his shoulder in Curt's chest.  Getting backed under the basket when you are playing behind is the textbook definition of awful defense.  Getting backed down while playing behind a dude that you are twice as strong as is awful defense at best, stupid and lazy at the worst.

I loved CK and the laughing at the student section was incred.  But I have watched him get backed under the rim all season and seeing a guy who is 7'0" 220 lbs. was all I could take.  I was starting to wonder if these guys were coached to get backed down like that but I realized that Jordan knows how to get on his toes and move into the torso of the post.  Hell Jamar didn't get backed down like that by disgustingly pasty and abhorrently fat Andre Almeida.

Did anyone see him flash a sign and make a face when Jamar fouled out?  It was pretty hilarious.  Would love a screen shot of this too.

It didn't feel like our bigs played great, but pull up a box score of nubb vs A&M or ut and compare with last night.  We held their two main posts who ripped texas a new ass to a combined 9 pts.

If Curtis decides he doesn't want to play basketball after his time at Kansas State, a company, somewhere (perhaps eastern Europe), will be happy to have him.
