Ed (TV show with Tom Cavanaugh)
« on: February 23, 2011, 09:43:13 PM »
Why hasn't this show come out on DVD yet? I've heard rumblings that it's something about music rights or something. I need to find all the seasons of Ed.  Does anyone know where I can find a torrent or something?

Also we can use this thread to talk about how great a show Ed was and how it's probably the best show ever made.

My gf at the time was way into it.  I never watched it much, so I can't say for sure.  I just know that Julie Bowen is incredible-looking.

Nope. Also not thinking of Mr. Ed or Ed, Edd and Eddy.

Ed got Carol.  end of show.
it's like the 'k-state rule' of shows.  don't let the dude get the girl when he's chased her for 1 or 2 seasons and is the basic premise for the show's existence.  writers have trouble making the transition from dude-chasing-girl to dude-has-girl-and-marries-girl.
My wife watches Castle.  I tease her about how Castle will eventually do it with Beckett and kill the show. mark it down.
Btw I have no idea how this similar to the kstate rule, sometimes I just say things, so eff off everybody.

The Office definitely backs up your "k-state rule".

That's why Ed was so great. He got the girl and they ended the show. 4 seasons and done. It didn't have time to "jump the shark". Don't you see?

i kind of thought that for a while they made the show too much about the kid from the computer commercials and the brown haired girl and the computer kid's fat friend.

It's like all the stars went on to bigger things, Carol is on Modern Family, dorky student kid is in a load of movies.  That shows just went off air it seemed without warning and it's a shame.  Just a good, solid, wholesome sitcom.  The tv experts are getting better at making some new sitcoms that are good, but Ed kind of started it all in my opinion.

1. Ed was ok
2. Carol was the biggest reason to watch it
3. Chuck sucks.

looks like problem solved.  also, i have a pretty bad memory for details, so i probably forgot what happens in most episodes, which means it would be like watching it all over for the first time.   :woot:

pm for edpak details
