If we win tonight we're in the Tournament. If we lose, we're not. Maybe.
We must win against NU.
Every game since the last ISU game has been discussed like this."If we beat ISU, we are in, otherwise we are out.""If we beat KU, we are definitely in. Punches our ticket.""If we beat OU, we are in, otherwise we may be out."Silly

I think we can lose tonight and still make the dance. 8-8 with either a win over TX or MU plus the fact the teams around us in the big 12 middle could very easily fall apart down the stretch.
If it were up to me, Wintz would be on a fan scholarship, full ride.

The only game we can "afford" to lose and still have some comfort is @UT. Huggs' season should've taught us that the "this win does it" mentality when you are on the bubble is tenuous at best. When you put ourselves into the position we are in with 3 losses to lower division teams you eliminate room for error, especially against fellow bubble teams like NU. So yeah, this is probably a must win. Could we sneak in without it? Maybe. But winning both this week puts us in an extremely good position.

Wouldn't beating MU qualify as "stealing one" in the eyes of the selection committee? They are ranked higher than us and completely destroyed us earlier this season.

Was hoping you would make fun of me for overstating the importance of tonight's game. I'm so nervous.
