Will the "cool" Pinstripe Bowl K-State be on the new field at BSFS?

Yes . . . it's cool.  Currie Prevails.
NO . . . OB Wins again.

Not that it would change my mind, but I'd love to hear the reasoning behind the 2 differenct colors . . . what I don't want to hear is that they told them to put in whatever was the cheapest stuff.

The company that did the installation puts in other brands of fields, so I am not even sure the endzone death slide area is an AstroTurf product.

I'm betting that they just decided to use some scraps from the old field to cover up the slide of death.

Looks like Populous will be doing the west side renovation.

Populous is EMAW.

The lead architect from Populous on the BBTF is a ku grad.

He's a KU grad.  He invented the game.  He has more basketball knowledge in his big toe than most people do before 9AM.

All the EMAWs there should quit and form their own goPOPULOUS company.

OT Question: How many wins it having a new turf good for this season? 1-3?  I would say at least 2.  What do you think?

The turf mismatch is as we feared. They chose a different material (padded nylon turf..."similar to the original AstroTurf") for the EZOD because they feared the playing surface turf wouldn't be durable enough to withstand, and I quote, "TV production vehicles, Harley Day, Fort Riley vehicles, tractors, Gators, scissors lifts, etc."

The AD admins are also sticking to the "inside the stadium it's barely noticeable" line.

I called John while waiting for my ride this morning.  His secretary did not seem too pleased to be taking down my long angry message.  Also, Kstate0fans.com is reacting exactly as you'd expect:

...If it were let out that the previous turf was recycled to fill this finite space, I can get on board with that.  The symbolism of crossing over, "where we've been, to get to where we are."
