You're probably right, I've heard good things but haven't had much experience with it myself. I'm pretty sure it was built by ex-vb coders.  Xenforo it is.

Alright,

The pictures aren't great but I'm a beginner and not used to doing much outdoor shooting.  I learned that the lenses I have really aren't meant for it which means I'll have to start shopping.  The pictures of the practice facility will be coming in a little bit and I think they look a lot better.

The site isn't finished obviously.  The main things I wanted was a huge gallery that stretched all the way across the site and for everything to resize properly which is working relatively well now.  Before I go much further you guys can be my beta testers and tell me if you run into errors or if there are css issues, especially since I haven't tested it on windows or IE yet.

This will be improved soon.  I have a "content delivery network" that will serve all of the files on the site and that makes it quite a bit faster.  I disable it while I'm developing though because I need to see changes immediately and the CDN caches everything so when I make a change I have to clear the cache which gets annoying.

I saved each image at about 130kb so it will definitely be tough for people with slow connections but I'm using a lazy loader which delays loading the images until you get close to them in the slider.

I did quite a bit of comparison to make sure it was close and if the other renderings are correct, than that pic should also be close to correct.   We will know for sure later because every time I go up there I'm going to take a picture from that spot so I can make a time-lapse later on.
