It appears that K-State has not been overly pleased with the AstroTurf product. There was a bit of a to-do when K-State replaced the FieldTurf (which was their first design/model) with AstroTurf's product. That started looking like hot garbage in a short period of time, of course it didn't help that K-State practiced on it all the time, and drove tractor trailers over it. So they put in a new AstroTurf fake grass design/model three or four years later and put in the AstroTurf baseball fake grass in TFS.
Now they're dumping all of it for FieldTurf, including FieldTurf's designed specifically for baseball product in TFS.
