It already is. I haven't seen a major university anywhere in this country more walkable and pedestrian friendly than K-State. Its amazingly compact.

I think walking campus means no vehicular traffic in the main campus pathways and crosswalks. KSU is far from that, but should strive for it.

yeah. sounds like they are going to try and get less cars driving through campus mainly due to the fact that current day students are so oblivious that they get hit by cars like every other day.

If you look at the University master plan for transportation and parking it suggests removing Claflin and making it a walking only path. They want all roads through campus closed and only a bunch of drop off circles. It doesn't look like Claflin is going to be a through road when they're done.
