Saw Jonathan Beasley at So Long before game
« on: February 19, 2011, 11:24:23 PM »
We are just so blessed here at K-State to have former superstar players that really want to be back in Manhattan.  I think it's a real testament to the fans we have here.  Congrats bearded cat fans and take a bow the next time you are standing.

Michael Smith and Joe Gordon have also expressed their undying love for K-State as well.   We should all be proud.

You know another bearded cat legend who also graced the cover of SI and loves coming back to Manhattan?  Darren Sproles that's who.  The guy made a million dollars!  You think that stops him from coming back to MHK?  I guess my point is no, that cool million doesn't stop him.

Speaking of so long, almost forgot another wildcat super legend that i hung out with their a couple years ago, Super Bowl champ Ryan Lilja.  Yeah, just hanging out in a white v neck, no probs here, just hanging out with his adoring fans (friends).  I mean these players can't stay away from this charming town.  Gonna hug my family extra tight tonight, just so blessed.

Dralinn Burks has devoted himself to defending our rights to get drunk and not get completely crap stomped in our little aggieville business district. Sure, he didn't make it all big, but he's made a commitment to us. I bless him for that.

Oh yeah, Lilj was not only a pivotal part of one of the best Offensive Lines of all time . . . but he's perpetual K-State love.   Does it bring a tear to your eye??  Does to mine.

This is what i'm saying.  I think it's because of our fans, truly special what we got going on in Manhattan.  Can't stop smiling.

Think about Lon Kruger.  He heads off to Florida, Illinois, the NBA, Las Vegas.  Does he forget about K-State?  No way . . . Lonnie wrote a six figure check to help pay for the renovation of the men's basketball offices at K-State a few years back.  Despite the controversy, Lonnie never forgets EMAW . . . all K-Staters should beam with pride.

How could I forget Terrence Newman?  That guy has a few dollars in the bank, no?   :gocho:  He enjoys coming back to Manhattan and throwing parties for charity.  What amazing young men, couldn't keep them out of MHK if the town was burning to the ground!  :ksu:  Definitely gonna sleep well tonight, absolutely blessed.

Terrence held the door open for me once at AJ's Liquor in Salina.  Pretty sure he's probably bought it since then, and has donated it to the Ahearn Fund.  It is an honor and a privilege to be around people like this.

LOL @ mentioning a bunch of has-been football players who no one gives a sh*t about.  Jordy Nelson is a natural hayseed who grew up in Riley County, so he doesn't count.  Wake me up when one of Beasley/Walker show their faces in your hayseed hick of a town even once.  This thread = epic fail.

He grew up in Riley County.  It'd be like celebrating the fact that Brady Morningstar was on the sidelines today for KU's game against Colorado.

Yea, Brady Morningstar is the equivalent of a Super Bowl champ.  Good point Beems
