Watching his hudl film of 8 man football is a must watch. It’s rough ridin' hilarious.

I enjoy that they circle him in the videos so you know which one he is

Is small town football like that most places?  Truck pulled up to the field the whole 9?  I was shocked how small some of the kids looked, it was eye opening.

I am from Meade who bounces around between 11 and 8-man and we have a regular stadium with regular stands on both home and away sides. Away side is just bleachers with no press box or facilities or anything. Home side is reasonably nice with a press box on top. The usual track around it or whatever. But I'll say that when we play 8-man the away games are like that a lot.

There are definitely a decent number of 8 man fields in the midwest that don't have bleachers. I don't know what constitutes a lot and I don't think it's a majority of 8 man fields without bleachers, but there's plenty. The schools that do have bleachers are usually played on full sized fields so they have to put cones and crap on them to play 8 man.

Don’t know if we’re still in on this kid but we offered back in the spring. 3* on On3, unranked by everyone else but 6’4”, putting up big numbers playing 6A in DFW, and probably going to have a chip on his shoulder now so would take.

Need Manning not this cat.  Avery needs targets immediately.

I selfishly want TBOW to not honor a certain offer

We just need Dorkwitz to get fired and hopefully Manning switches sides.  I'd be surprised if Jaidyn Doss wasn't looking at other options.

I hope we get Manning but I also struggle to see a WR getting excited about Klein's offense

IMO, transfer portal is our best option for WR's going forward.  Particularly those from smaller schools or FCS transferring up.  At this point, we'd love to have undersized guys with great hands.

Problem is those are rare and to chi cats point our offense doesn’t exactly sell itself to WR’s

I'm not one to roll heads, but it might be time for a new WR coach. :dunno:

I’d be interested to see a breakdown of positions we have put into the NFL. I don’t feel like we have been particularly thin at WR even though we’ve never had an air raid style offense.

Our last NFL WR was/is Tyler Lockett. He's in year 8 in the NFL.

Pringle - but he didn't get drafted which probably says something.

Yeah, good call. I forget about him now, because he's no longer with the Chiefs.  :frown:

Tulane has had a WR drafted more recently than we have.

if we're not airing it out with AM we're probably not going to air it out with AJ. which is really discouraging. because we need to recruit so many more wr's than rb's, and the difference in skill level between wr is way wider than rb.

We are absolutely going to air it out with AJ. If we don’t he will find a team who will. It’s the reason we got Andre Davis and any chance we have of flipping Manning.

i'm hopeful that we will but I wouldn't say that we're "absolutely" going to change our offense from majority run to majority pass over the course of a single summer

Just looked. Since Lockett, the only offensive players we’ve had drafted were on the O line, with the notable exception of one Skylar H. Thompson.

But obviously since Sproles the most recognizable KSU alums are probably Jordy and Lockett.

We have a good running QB who built a legacy at NU for turning it over and a Heisman candidate RB. It would be malpractice not to call a majority of runs with what we have.
