Let's not kid ourselves. It's flab. If the kid has a good work ethic, and Coach Snyder wants him so he probably does, then I could see him losing that with a year in the weight room. Then it's all up to him to make something of himself.

The kid is actually one of the best athlete's I've seen in a while. He played point guard in basketball. Had handles, could shoot from every where, and he is FAST for how big he is. He's a beast on the football field. It's not a bad get.

His lead recruiter (Louisville's DC) apparently is a strong target for the raiders HC job tho.

A little off topic but Blaise Gammon is a friend of mine at BVW and is a 6'8" TE/DE that skipped playing football junior year to focus on basketball. He played as a senior though and now has flipped from basketball to football. He is down to K-State and OK-State. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3966282/highlights/200599379

I may, or may not, have lurked/participated in the Huskers' scout.com recruiting last night as "Merle" of huskerpedia fame.

Bryan Munson was already claiming in the chat that Barry wouldn't likely be able to qualify at Nebraska and that if he chose Nubbie, he'd be placed at IWCC. Take that fwiw.
