And this is when the class implodes.

Barry to the U.  And the Georgia contingent most likely gone as well, with the chance that we hold on to Zuber.

Jeesh.....what a debbie downer :shakesfist:

Some successful companies like zappos pays employees 5k to quit, cause they only want people committed.

There's a good reason to take the decisive players who will give it their all instead of indecisive manginas.

Also, the other GA guys are really EMAW.  I'm not worried about them.

If we don't sign another receiver in this class it is a failure.

Darreyl Patterson would be a huge get, need to find another Highschool DB. Have to land one if not two of the HS DT and Tyrell Jacobs would be nice too. Would like to find another speedster at wideout too.

This is weird with all of these HS kids coming in this late in the process.  Like zero Juco recruits.  I would prefer mostly HS kids, but looks like we are not going after hardly any juco's this year.

My wish list:

one more WR: ryan davis (not likely) or almonzo brown (more likely)
another JuCo DE: desmond owino
another HS DE: g.g. robinson
at least two DTs: deonte reynolds and at least one of bryce english/javier edwards/tyrell jacobs/olive sagapolu
keep all our current LBs but if walker or barry flip, get joseph prevost
one more DB: kylan johnson or darreyl patterson or reggie robinson

I want all high school kids.  I just don't feel like we're having a high success rate with JUCO kids these days.  I'd rather we just develop them in our system for five years.

I think that makes sense.  Our strength seems to be developing players and the worthwhile jucos are being recruited by other schools now anyways.

Rumor that Jameson Houston is going to be in town this weekend. He is currently a Baylor commit and has some other nice offers. Time for Tom Hayes to get his swagger jack on.

The SEC has started going hard after JUCO's.

So far, 8 of the Top 10 and 12 of the Top 15 are all committed to SEC schools.

Even a lot of Pac 12 heavyweights are really making headway there.  USC, UCLA, ASU, Arizona, etc.  It's a thing now.  And it's not just the very top kids.  The whole Top 50 is getting picked over.

Bigger issue is how earlier JUCO kids are committing now. It is now harder to evaluate our team through out the season and use Jucos as stop gaps in positions of weakness. We have to be more proactive not having weakness.

Curious to see how/if this trend of decreasing the number of juco recruits impacts position competition within the program...

Probably won't impact it much at all. Walk-on U staying strong.
