Really want Westbrook.  Would feel a lot better about our WR situation next yr if we did.

I don't love JUCO WRs.  I want to but I can't.   Maybe Westbrook will be the one to heal my broken heart.   I really thought Andre Davis would be the guy but....

I'm not sure what happened with Davis.... I thought he was a shoe-in to dominate. eff he said he was going to be better than Lockett.

He is behind two effective players in Lockett and Curry. Besides that he probably struggling with typical JUCO issues. Still believe is going to end up being great, he can flat out fly.

Yeah but after Lockett and Curry, we have like no one.   If he was going to be a stud, I'd expect him to at least fill that role.

And this won't be the first or last time we have hidden talent on the bench.

Are you trying to say we purposely kept a player on the bench not because he wasn't ready to play, but because of some secret reason known only to Bill?

Yes, if you haven't noticed, Bill values mental ability the same as athletic ability. It's obvious some athletically talented players have landed on the bench for a time, because he's more worried about the guys grasping the system, and not giving up big plays.  If they stay the course and get to where coaches want, they play.  This year:  Clicks, Green, Johnson are examples

One, this makes no sense.   Green and Johnson have played a ton when healthy.   Two, I specifically stipulated that the hypothetical players were on the bench for reasons other than not being ready.  That said, I'm thinking maybe I just misread Mixeds' post.   I was thinking he meant we were hiding them on the bench intentionally.   He probably meant they're just hidden by other players.   Like, buried on the depth chart.

We don't like to sub at anything except defensive line, so just because a player doesn't play doesn't mean he isn't any good. I won't be surprised if Jones or Davis are a more effective player than Curry is this year. Curry is just better this year.

Kansas-Sports.com - ?@sportsinkansas Tristan Speer of Troy, a state wrestling champion/quarterback/defensive tackle/basketball player, has thrown 31 TDs to 1 INT this season.

He goes to Troy High in little Troy, Kansas. Not even five minutes down the highway from where i live. They play the weakest competition in the state. If he gets a scholly to Oklahoma for football, I will crap my pants.
