Coming into the weekend, Mohamed Barry had a feeling his official visit to Kansas State could be a game changer, but even he didn't think it could've gone as well as it did.
"I don't know where to start," an elated Barry detailed late Sunday evening after returning home to Loganville, Ga. "It was like a dream because everything about it was perfect. Everything I came in looking for, all the questions I had, it was all answered. It was just an amazing trip."
"Kalin and I know about each other, but I didn't know he'd be there on the plane with us so that was a surprise," Barry said. "By the end of the trip, it was like I had known him forever because we clicked immediately and had the same thoughts about football and life."
"That drive was interesting," laughed the three-star prospect. "I mean, it was really pretty out there, but there was nothing. The good thing though was that Manhattan had everything once we got there. It's kind of like a big town surrounded by nothing."
"Well, from a facilities standpoint, I love what they're about to do with the stadium," Barry said after laying eyes on the future blueprints. "What they have is nice, but what they're about to do is on another level. They're competing with teams like Oklahoma State for the best facility in American honestly. I mean, it's going to be really nice --
like a state of the art, space stadium. I can't wait for that weight room too."
"And then the fans," continued the former Wisconsin commit. "I'd never been to game at Wisconsin, so I can't compare that, but I've been to Georgia and Tennessee for games and, honestly, I thought the vibe was better at the game Saturday than anywhere else."
"It was a packed, sold out crowd like they always do. And they're just loud and into the game from start to finish. The student section was calling me and Duke out, showing us love... the passion those fans had was unreal."
"Yeah, Duke and Zuber were right there asking what I thought and we started discussing the possibilities," Barry chuckled. "I know it can't get much better, but I wanted to get home and talk about everything with my Mom. I owe her that, you know?"
"I know I'll have a decision to announce this week though. I can tell you that right now."
