Olathe North has a better football team than KU this year.
Olathe North is probably going to lose because they're arrogant. Edit.  JK They're not going to lose because it's o north.

Heard our guy led his team on a drive to win the game. Can anyone confirm?

first time reading this and as you can imagine it pisses me off.

Once it was determined Nick Marshall wouldn't graduate from Garden City in December and Texas was off the table, he became all K State. Garden City had 2 former K State All Americans on its staff, and they have sent countless players to them over the years. K State told Nick they wanted to sign him and Jake Waters, but Nick didn't care. Nick just wanted to get a fair shot at playing QB, and K State assured him that he would be the next Michael Bishop. Nick had made his mind up in early December that he wanted to go to K State, but the Heisman Trophy Ceremony actually changed everything. Colin Klein made the trip to New York in early December with Snyder and his OC. That night, the OC and Klein call Jake Waters on the phone and tell him that "He" will be the one representing K State in 2 years at the Heisman Ceremony. That wouldn't be such a big deal, but Klein accidentally told the press about it during his many interviews. Nick watched the ceremony and actually decided he would go ahead and commit to them on his upcoming visit, just a couple of days away. That quickly changed when the story about the phone call was printed in the Newspaper with quotes from Klein. Someone read the story and told Nick about it. Nick took it personally, and called the Garden City coach to tell him that he would rather not play College Football, than play for K State. They were immediately eliminated, and he became all Auburn. K State obviously signed Jake Waters.

Nick Marshall is fun to watch, but he's a product of their system. He has tons of playmakers around him. He's an iffy passer at best, but can run. He had a lot of backs to pitch off to as well. Not only that, but the cluster eff of waters, Marshall, and Sams would have been even worse. Everyone would have still wanted Sams here too. We don't have the right kind of backs to make Marshall sexy.

what does this have to do with sams? sams would have played wherever he was asked to

not trying to get all transitive property here but if marshall came in when waters did sams a) would have a full year of receiver b) had a full year at running back/db. not saying that was 100% the scenario but likely. anywho i hadnt heard the story and the point of the post was our staff are idiots sometimes.

I can understand your frustration. I wanted Marshal too, but I watched a lot of their games last year. They were like a Georgia Tech offense on steroids.

I always liked Auburn after our trip down there in 2007. I would watch a lot of their games. I respected them, until the Newton crap. Now I just watch out of interest.

No ones arguing that, dumbass. His success would have been limited do to the playmakers behind him compared to Auburn.

Not to mention, waters was ranked higher, so I can only imagine the meltdown this fanbase would have had if we took Marshall over Waters.  :Ugh:

There wouldn't have been any meltdown at all. I know I thought Marshall was a better fit for Kansas State.

If only Bill would have told Klein to call Marshall instead. If only... :frown:

Either way, i'm over this debate. I'm pleased with our current position. I'm sure there would have been a lot of bitching about Lockett not getting the ball enough last year if we landed Marshall.
