Don't let kimmy and the boys get into your head.  I can tell you, I'm exicted with this recruiting style!  :billdance:
dude is a bad ass

I'm playing it down so it won't hurt so bad when he decommits after his stud senior season.
hopefully he doesn't grow taller before Feb :crossfingers:

As far as the whole "how the hell did we get this guy" convo, which, come on dorks, is an understandable convo to have; didn't Shelley have a good friend already sign here? Could that be why? Maybe he isnt a sign and place, not at TC, FP, etc, but actually a stud who wanted to play with his buddy?

go light on them.  the football acumen is not always significant in these parts.

DITR alert.  We've offered Bryce Balous (safety from Texas) and it's believed we are the leader.  He retweeted the Duke Shelley commit.  Balous is a major burner (see dude in headband in video linked below of a 10.48 100).  His film isn't great so there is some "project" or DITR about him.  But I have always been of the belief that if you're going to whiff then miss on speed.  He does look very fast in his film but not sure how instinctive of a player he is and his footwork isn't good.  But he can fly.

fyi, the kid that won the heat will be a true freshman at Baylor.  Yep, they have another burner at wideout.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

We would rather have a track star or a a guy that looks fast on film. I am the latter, I don't think Shelly numbers tell the truth about how fast he is.

You guys remember what happened when oscar started recruiting for stars rather than guys who fit? A modicum of caution would be wise here is what I'm saying.

Still after plenty of DITR, projects, and reaches. Not worried.

This program was built on the backs of lazy walkon's who finally got their crap together. Not four star Georgia kids who have worked hard their whole life. :curse:

I like both. It's not like track meets lie about speed. You can never have too many blazers on a football team.

Guys, I'm not saying that he isn't good (I haven't and won't watch film), I'm saying he won't qualify.

I think he means that it looks like Jake's two buttons are different. TLBL's look to be the same, but different from either type on Jake's jacket. My first thought was that they arrived at KSU in different years and the source of the jacket could've changed the construction.
