"I'm glad it's over because it was starting to be a headache. Coaches tell you the same thing all the time. I'm done. I might have to step back and think about things if a dream school came along, but right now I'm happy to be a Wildcat."
Hours after telling GPC he needed more time, coveted linebacker Dvonta Derricott ended his recruitment and made a verbal with K-State.
Cassidy thinks Derricott is a qualifying risk, said the coaching staff is "...gonna be sweating this one out for a while."
Do you guys think Matt Miller played some role in steering this stud our way?

Kansas State's long-standing tradition of bringing in the top junior college talent in the country continued on Wednesday night with the commitment of top inside linebacker ... Garden City C.C. head coach Matt Miller, "Obviously I am a little bias... Going to Kansas State has never been a bad decision for anyone." ...Coach Snyder has proven time and time again that he's one of the best coaches in the country at molding juco talent into elite-level FBS players...[he'll] try to do exactly that this upcoming season with three of the top juco players in the country... Nate Jackson, ...Jake Waters, ...and Devon Nash..."[Dvonta is] so athletic that he goes out and plays press corner against our receivers and they can't get by him," Miller said. "He is a 4.4 40 guy. He has a motor and can hit." ..
Also, Alex Delton is the recruit I've wanted the hardest in my entire life.

I think he will be the one that builds the pipeline.

On a side note, how pissed are you guys that Weis and KU are dominating K-State in the '14 recruiting class so far (especially in the state of Kansas)?
Will qualify, and will be AB-esque
anyone else think torubledscribe may be a rough ridin' idiot?
From the GPC story on DerricottQuote"I'm glad it's over because it was starting to be a headache. Coaches tell you the same thing all the time. I'm done. in the end, EMAW will always win.

K-State: A school you can settle for
Rob Cassidy ?@Cassidy_Rob 1mHutchinson (Kan.) CC cornerback Shatlle Fenteng will announce his decision at 9:00 CT tonight. Final group: K-State, Ole Miss and UGA.
Rob Cassidy ?@Cassidy_Rob 1mI'd be floored if it wasn't UGA. Not much drama with this oneExpand
