I love our GIGANTIC student section....I hope it  NEVER goes away.

This.

It is freaking huge.  Love it.  Gotta be a big diff playing on our court with that large of a student section all along the side of the court vs playing elsewhere where they stuff the students in the corner rafters.

It won't. The SGA at the time made sure of it, because the AD paid for some of the Bram with the student's tuition fees and that was a stipulation. There will be 6,000 student seats forever.

The number/proportion of student seats is guaranteed, but not location.

I was at 84-75 too (not at 84-66), and I mean, the crowd that day was no slouch.

This was my favorite part of the game.  The KU players standing on the floor for what seemed like an eternity, and 5,000+ rough ridin' crazed maniacs chanting "eff KU".  KU had no chance at that point, they knew exactly what was coming.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

Taylor admits he got “really rattled” Monday, rattled by the crowd and the poor start.
“It was just one of those games where ... I had a turnover from the beginning, I had another turnover right off the bat, then it was just like, man, it’s one of them days,” Taylor said. “Jake came down, hit a three, he got me in the air and got three free throws. Again, I’m like, ‘Dang, it’s one of them games.’ ”

I would give anything to be a part of this again. By far the most memorable moment of my college career. :emawkid:

Yeah sweater-vest guy really set the tone there. This was like my fourth of fifth time sitting on the chairback side, and I gotta say, you really do get a whole different feel for it seeing everything from that view. Just so rough ridin' awesome. Completely mesmerizing. There are just certain things that no matter what happens I will always love K-State for, and one of them is moments like that. Go cats. Pack it with purple. Fear the Beard.

uh, probably not.
'08 was louder and much more angry. however i was so mad when i walked in on Monday that i could barely contain my anger. seems like it wasn't all that loud to me  :dunno:

PS- students...there were several open seats in 18 and in the corner.  :nono:

That game was easily the loudest that I've ever been to. Louder than ku. Dead serious.

They were reviewing something late in the second half and the 'Let's go Wildcats' chant was incredibly loud.

Good...because that would be a sure fire way to kill OOD, by reducing the number of students there. In my opinion, this IS a college team, I think the Students should have a fairly substantial amount of seats.

I'm not really sure they could hide 6,000 students in bramlage, could move them to the corners I suppose, but I don't know how that would go over quietly. I think they have done about all they can do with the students....moved the team benches to the other side of the court.

Meh. It was VERY loud. But it was very loud during 84-75.

I was lucky enough to be at both. I'd say it was about even. You can't really get much louder.
