What did the great Mr. Knight or any other announcer have to say about our team, how loud it was, etc?

Cheese said the crowd is great when the team performs.

Bob said it was one of the great enviros in college bb, and that the great programs all play in great enviros :surprised:

Ooh, nice outfit. What is that, Dacron?

He had some earth-shattering comments like:

*"KU needs to score here; and K-State needs to score on their trip down"
*"Pullen has only taken one bad shot and that was a 3 pointer (said this about 6x).

His best line was the post game. Said we better not let this be the peak, we better be ready to play more games. Said "Go, enjoy this for 30 minutes, an hour, hand out the coca-colas and candy bars, then get back to work"

Heard that also from some super uber ACC fans that I hang out with.  Also said our student section looks like a good smelling and sexy monster from a bad dream.

Jordy was flashing smiles and handshakes behind Musky and BK all evening. Looked great.

Also, BK was pretty much right on most of the time. I generally find myself agreeing with most of what he says, but the fact that he says it about 60 times and won't shut up gets very annoying. Was easier to take when we were playing like that, however.

Knight openly fellated Sprads everytime he checked in.  Guess we should feel good that a HOF coach loves one of our players so much but it kinda weirds me out for some reason.  I think Knight might want tp hump Sprads or something.  :ck:

At the end of the game there was an exchange between musberger and knight that went something like this

"Well Bobby can KSU keep this up and make the tournament?"
"I dont know the answer to that question and anyone that does should help out Obama with all of his questions"

I've got to correct you here - sorry.  Knight specifically recommended against handing out candy bars and coca colas.  In other words, don't spike the football in the end zone.  In other words, act like you've been there before.  In other words, don't eat too much sugar and keep yourself up late and/or spoil your dinner.

Yes...then he went on to say UT was a great B-Ball "atmosphere."

My favorite was when Knight was talking about Pullen's NIT comment and going on about how he should have kept his mouth shut, even when he was frustrated. Then Musberger asked "Did you ever say anything in frustration when you were a coach?"

Remember when Knight was handing out Valentine's Day flower bouquets to Jerry Sloan and his (Knight's) wife?  I thought his third bouquet was going to be to Spradling.  And that he would deliver it to him in person on the court.

Lots of shots of Shaehon sitting right behind Self and eyeballing his every move.  Looked like he was really happy to be back in Manhattan.   :emawkid:

We shared a mini-fist pump.  He was thrilled Self's antics got them whooped.

True but when you are that old you just start listing anything you can think of. Plus trying to think of other good atmospheres in the B12 at the moment, not sure what else would be on that list. Coors was loud the other day I guess.

Jan 29, 2011 - KU destroys KSU 90-66
Feb 1, 2011 - Shaehon Zenger takes over as the KU Athletic Director
Feb 14, 2011 - KSU destroys KU 84-68

Coincidence?  :ck:

Knight was less annoying overall, but this is likely due to us beating the hell out of those ladies down the road.

My personal favorite was when Knight said that the KSU coaching staff should get the players off the court immediately, not let them celebrate with the fans.

Although repetitive and (to me) not that great as an analyst, I do respect his basketball opinion so the fact that he was crediting our half court offense really made me smile.

I wouldn't jump the gun on Zenger. He is clearly the best AD hire in the past quarter century. And that is not naivety that is KU FACT. So just before you go about casting stones...
