I'm all for the bobby gonzalez experiment. The tucks would all be expecting another fiery brown skinned crazy man and get hit with a snowcoat. I doubt he would be tempted to steal anything from the manhattan mall, so its all good.

IMHO, Marshall is waiting for a bigger fish than SC/KSU. I perused SC message boards (not the most credible source, I know) during their pursuit of Frank, and the word on Marshall was that he wanted $17.5 million over 7 years. I'd say that is out of our range.

I really would like to know what John Currie's short list looks like.

I'd have to guess that it is comprised primarily of Mid-major coaches and assistant coaches. Mostly because I do not see KSU as a terribly good job...at least it's not better than the majority of major conference jobs. Probably squarely in the middle of major conference jobs.

So, you aren't going to lure a big time guy unless we way over pay, or there is an issue with the guy.

There's no chance we end up with a coach worth a crap. We're like the kids living in a homeless shelter hoping that somehow our jobless dad and strungout mom will somehow scrap together some money to buy us a GI Joe aircraft carrier when in reality mom is blowing the shelters cook for a hit of crack and dad is slapping some dirty skank on the butt.
