Excited but skeptical. He's going to have to break into a very exclusive club, he has the money but he's going to need to find the people. He's also going to need to have the stomach to lose a lot of money. The sport is very different from when Joe Gibbs jumped in.

He weathered the storm of three years of significant losses as a Charlotte owner. $58M over three years. I suspect he'll handle it.

for sure. I'm curious if any owner actually makes money or do they just try to break even?
Also hopefully he lets Hamlin make the talent decisions.

Aren't there insiders and even investment groups (like Spire) excited about the future financial outlook and specifically costs with the Gen 7 car, as well as driver bubble burst and cheaper contracts?

Tried to find articles directly saying that but couldn't, so maybe I'm mis-remembering.

Word is Bubba has over $20 million per year in sponsorship lined up.

I think they could be a lot of fun over the next few years.

bout time they remove a 1.5 miler. Surpirsed it is Chicago though. Chicago and Kansas were built the same time and have similar racing. Kansas really lucked out.

No, Kansas has better attendance and shockingly enough, sponsorship opportunities.

That Bristol dirt race is going to be wild. I think they now have too many road races, but other than that the changes are very good.

yeah, need more short tracks which i realize can't be produced at the snap of the finger like a road course can.

I think there is significant interest in residential or commercial development on the Chicagoland property. No races there leads me to believe that will most likely happen now.

Kentucky is a head scratcher for me, even though they've destroyed the racing with the PJ1.

So many feelings on Bristol dirt. While it should be entertaining, the track will be garbage. Bringing in temporary dirt makes it very difficult to produce a racey surface. Typically dry, rutted up, with maybe one lane of moisture to play follow the leader. If the surface is there for weeks to get raced in, it should be better, but we'll see what their plans are. I wish they could've found a way to make it happen at a full time dirt track (I understand no dirt facility can host an event like that as is). The most exciting part for me is I'd expect Bristol to host some Lucas Oil/World of Outlaws late models as well as the Tony Stewart All Stars/WoO sprint cars while the dirt is in place.

And yes, just a stupid amount of road courses. COTA seems ok, but 6 is far too many.

The Nashville market will be interesting over the next few years. Would be awesome if they could announce the fairgrounds to be renovated and ready once the super speedway contract is up.... but sounds like the Mayor there doesn't want it to happen.

That was willlllllllddddd. You know full well Denny was forced down there. It's for the best that Denny won, Dibendetto would have been even more sad had he won and been disqualified.

That was a good letter. He wasn't a vocal advocate before the e racing incident and that's why he didn't receive any public grace or defense. I hope that he continues the work he's been doing after he gets a ride and he becomes a public and vocal ally.

Completely agree.

Bowman over to the Ally 48. Will be interesting to see what they do with the 4th Hendrick car now (who knows what number?).

AB had some pretty loyal sponsorship that even helped in some of his dirt stuff.

It was certainly worth the wait, he made good use of the months he remained publicly silent.

Bowyer to the booth in 2021.

Got to think that's Briscoe's ride now.

Bowyer had a pretty solid career. 21 wins across the 3 series, 10 in Cup, and an Xfinity Championship.

I wonder if he'll get more involved in dirt stuff moving forward. Either way, good for him.

I wondered what would happen. You could tell the performance just wasn't there for a big ride like he had.
His 07 Jack Daniels car was one of my favorites.

They're going to bring new fans to the sport.

New fans, new sponsors, etc. I'm pumped.

Hell, they might pay for their first few seasons with merchandise alone.
