goEMAW.com Super Bowl ad
« on: February 07, 2011, 03:39:13 PM »
The goEMAW BOD met in St. Moritz recently and a resolution was passed to explore the possibility of running an ad next Super Bowl (46).  Before we commit the funds for this, we need a homerun idea.  Obviously, the biggest ad companies in the world are pitching us, and pitching us hard.  The BOD decided that we would like to allow our customers to have some input.  This thread will be for everyone to post ideas for a kickass commercial to run next year.

The ideas must be awesome and on par with some of the greats (Apple, E-Trade, goDaddy, etc.).  It must capture the website's uniqueness and be edgy to the point that it will be mandatory "watercooler" talk the next morning.

So, good luck.  IF we use your idea you may be invited to the goEMAW watch party, featuring celebrity chef 'clams.

baby monkey AND really old, wrinkly monkey sitting on a park bench eating tuna salad sandwiches.  baby monkey tells grandpa monkey that he's sick of tucking in his shirt, needs new outlet for self expression.  (maybe there is a part where there is a funny monkey related montage, with benny hill music playing).  spot ends with baby monkey flying a puerto rican flag acting crazy, like only a monkey could.

A collection of the 20 best posters (20 to hopefully include ETP  :crossfingers: ) looking elite walking down a dimly lit street with laptops, iPads and iPhones. We all stop, look around and keep walking, all while the camera pans behind us with a goEMAW.com banner at the bottom.

James Earl Jones then says, "goEMAW.com, elites aren't made...they're born."

I understand that I am not allowed to enter the  "contest," per se, because I'm a shareholder....however, I'm dead serious when I suggest we should recreate the 1973 ad for Noxzema featuring Farah Fawcett and Joe Nameth....

'Cept in place of Farah and Joe we instead use Rob Cassidy and Austin Meek.

Junkyard dog chasing a bunch of shirt tucks down the street. goEMAW on collar.

Make the junkyard dog look like a mean looking version of the pak head.

camera panning-up sweaty sexy bod (male or female bods or both) but instead of kim kardashian face, you get pakhead face.

I know one ad is hard enough to get but we need to be looking at the bigger picture here, guys.  This is an intro to the world sort of.  Make at least two spots, like those silly chatter ads.  Approx. 2-3.1 seconds each.

First, pakhead and boobs.
Second, pakhead and man abs.

-or-

Show a pakhead kid using the force on real vader and melting his rough ridin' skin more than it was already burnt.

show real emaw fistpump kid destroying planets with his fistpumps and eating live birds with the other hand.

I'm seeing Katy Perry and Scarlett Johansson going at it....

That's all I've got so far.

That's fine.  We are really just brainstorming right now.  Obviously, I would need you to storyboard this at some point.  But for now just let the ideas fly.

I'm liking several concepts that have been thrown out there so far....

Monkey - obviously required

James Earl Jones' voice

Fist pump kid eating a bird(s)

Pak head / Willie head on a sexually attractive body

Meek and/or Cassidy showing chest hair (or maybe Stan :dunno:)

Tying it all together maybe isn't even required?

Are we trying to target a certain demographic of posters? Is the commercial meant to attract other posters?

Or is this more of an exposure to the world type commercial to let America know how truly powerful this web site is?
