thought he had a decent game. The missed dunk is kinda burned into my brain though.

JHR gave us exactly what we need from him, besides the missed dunk. If he makes that he finishes with 6 points, 8 boards, and only 1 TO. You take that every night as long as you get solid play from Kelly and Samuels. The only other issue was letting Diaz back him down, but that was mainly b/c he didn't take away the correct shoulder. Once Diaz turned he was going to do his patented lower the shoulder power dribble move to get within 5 feet and throw up his little jump hook.  Too often we let him turn to make this move and ended up fouling him or letting him get too close to make his shot, but when we took that away he had a lot of trouble. For example Samuels did a good job taking that away once on the left side of the floor, but Diaz was able to use his length to get the reverse lay-up, though many of you said it looked like he stepped out of bounds.

I thought Frank did a good job "stealing" a few minutes with only 1 of the 3 bigs on the floor. Granted, you can do that against NU b/c they play a similar line-up, it will be tougher against some other opponents.

What is JHR's favorite thing in the entire world?  Dribbling the basketball.  Loves it.  His absolute favorite thing.

Good point as well. Dribbling, missing dunks/layups, and looking bewildered...that's what JHR does.

JHR is just JB all over again.  Can't rebound, can't catch and can't dunk.  If i was 7'2 I would be one bad ass bball player  :block:

It's not like he is the only player on the team to miss a dunk. He got too far under the basket -- it happens. Nice recovery, I thought. Technical was BS as was the foul along the baseline on a clean block.

The T makes sense.

And most of you have already decided he's horrible, so no matter what he does he's going to be horrible.

His play last night was fine.

He let go of the rim before he grabbed the ball, so the T was bullshit. Not that it matters.

Hanging on the rim?  BS

used the rim to get the advantage on the rebound.

i thought sunvold did a good job explaining it last night, but then again i'm not a brain surgeon like you.

Had a couple loud kids on my lap.  Early game nights are somewhat more of a visual experience than audio one at my house.

Also, what I could hear sounded like the ref was saying he grabbed the ball while holding the rim.

either way- it was worth of a tech.  he hung on the rim longer than he should have and deserved a t for that, but they didn't give him one for it.

yeah can't fault him here. I was sitting around there. He went straight up with his arms and didn't reach over like he usually does that gets him the foul.

A lot of concerns with JHR would be resolved with a good strength/conditioning person that could make him clog up the paint like Colon.  Don't know if he'd be like a Cole Aldrich with a full set of teeth or anything, but there is upside to Robert's development.

Was under the impression the one we had was really good.  Do I need to rethink my position?
