Has Frank destroyed this team, or was it broken beforehand?

I honestly feel bad for them.  Leaving Wally out there to get abused all 2nd half.  Sitting CK.  Frank is a gd drama queen and he's getting what he deserves.

We were broken beforehand, but Frank has just made it worse.

"With Judge's self-esteem issues, I think it'd be great to let him get manhandled/ass-raped by KU. Take him out? Nah. Oh yeah, and let's not give him any playing time in the 3 games leading up to KU, so he has to freaking clue what's going on." - Frank Martin

Frank sucks.

Franks offensive sets look like something that we ran in High School, it's inefficient and doesn't play to our strengths.  His lineup changes/substitutions are horrendously suspect and mysterious and questionable and Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  Most of our players have mental issues that greatly affect their play on the court.  What Frank has trouble understanding is this, it's simple really. . . the fans pay for his big salary to put the best players on the court whether they jack around in practice, steal from Dillards, have difficult stretches in games or not, run-ins with the law, dying family members, etc.  Curtis Kelly is one of our best players (Dog House).  Nick Russell is one of our best players (Dog house). Wally Judge should be one of our best players (Mental Dog house, because of frank) Devon Peterson looks really good, etc.  Anybody with half a brain can see that if we take away Beasley and Clemente, we are wooly, tan tom, etc and at best an annual NIT program.  Frank was a novelty and used a couple of really good players to keep us afloat.

Bill Self understands the concept of playing the best players regardless, even if they miss practice because of deceased family members (TRob) or legal issues ( 50% of the 2008 championship team, Selby, Morningstar, etc. ) and he certainly designs an offense that plays to his best players strengths.  I hate KU, but at least they understand the simplicity of the game.  The fans pay to see the recruits . . . put them on the floor.  KU loses 3 really good players from last year and they're 19-1.  We lose 1 good player and we are 14-8.  I'm not buying that Luis Colon was not a good player, nor Chris Merriwether.  Intrinsic value maybe, but not product on the floor.

Fans want to see the best players, Frank doesn't give us the best, he gives us the following "F**K you, F**k you, you a**hole, F**k you motherF**ker, you selfish motherf**ker, you G*dD*mn piece of sh*t motherf**ker you're selfish man f**king selfish.  Get the F**k out of my face you F**khole, you G*dd*mn F**king F**k. Get the f**k on the f**king bench Wally and stay there for 3 f**king games and then I'll put you in against a top 5 team.  As for you Nick F**king Russell, you're a F**khead stupid motherf**ker.  Stay in my ninja f**king doghouse forever.

Frank sucks dudes and it has nothing to do with losing tonight.  This fall from grace should have been seen as soon as he signed a huge contract.

Most all of these "vag's" were here last year.  A year of experience just made them worse huh?  Maybe Frank and staff just sucks at developing talent.

To expand on cRustysMcMichicats point . . . this is exactly what you get if your head coach and staff don't pound the $hit out of the recruiting trail every year.   But then again, K-State hasn't had a coach and staff who consistently pounded the recruiting trail in 30 years, and even that fell apart when a couple of assistant coaches left and the head coach started to phone it in recruiting and then running off his best players.

I'm glad he sat CK. In addition to him being the least intelligent basketball player on the team, did you see how he played in the 1st half?

In that shitstorm where it didn't matter who played in the 2nd half, why not play Wally?

Frank doesn't have the first rough ridin' clue what to do with this team . . . he's completely lost and just flailing right now.

Hey Frank, if you love the JYC style of play, as cRustyMcMichicat has pointed out, you actually need really good players.   You actually need to recruit guards who can push the ball, you actually need to recruit guys who can rebound and finish and not play like a collection of pussies.

Right now Frank's just trying to shove square pegs into round holes with this cac halfcourt offense straight out of the Moe Iba/Jack Hartman playbook.

Pretty much how I see it.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I think it's pretty clear that Frank is lost on what to do right now -- he keeps apologizing after every loss, and then saying he's leading better after every win. Surely a lot of the problem is having a lack of players who are natural leaders. On the other hand, he does look pretty stupid now for chasing off people like Anderson.

His coaching itself has seemed a lot more inconsistent than other years. Like, why not play 95 when he's actually competing and making some plays. And why not get in Pullen's face when he continually launches shots that have not fallen all year (22 shots, folks). Why not run some screens for Gruds/Irv/Sprads/Myles? The staff and team are both really lost and frustrated right now. End of the day, though, Frank is the one in charge, and it comes back to him. I just hope he learns from it.

Ha, I laughed out loud after reading this.

BUT, as has been mentioned, this team is so effing lost that just playin CK or some other collection of 5 underacheivers is probably not going to result in more wins. Sad but true.

If Cat fan sat there watching the 2nd half thinking, "oh man, if we were just playing Kelly more this game would be competitive" then they are delusional and too far gone anyways.

I effing hate to say it, but KU just beats our ass consistently this game was nothing out of the ordinary. When we actually win or play within 10 points of KU, that's something to get riled up about.
