No tip.  I hate places that have "tip jars" on the counter where they don't even wait on you.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

No tip. Thats why I usually do carry-out to avoid the tip. I'll drive the 2 blocks and save the $3.

Well, let me take that back. If the carry-out person has bagged an item, placed utensils in your bag, napkins, etc., then you tip.

If all they do is hand you a box of pizza, then no, no tip.

Do you tip fast food workers working the drive thru as well?

I don't know. I am generally really awkward with money. I even try to give the toll people a little extra.

Next time, take money from the tip jar.  You will feel better about yourself.

I don't even take money from Give a Penny, Take a Penny.

Stealing from a tip jar would make me feel just terrible.

The starbucks by my house put a tip jar next to its drive-thru window. It sincerely made me a little angry.

The tip jar rudeness also bothers me, but not as much as these things do:

—Waiters who ask if you need change. Yes, give me my change. Then I will decide how much I will tip you.
—Waiters who give you five or more $1 bills back as change. No, give me the $5 and the $1, please. I have other money in my pocket, and besides, there's a good chance you were going to get the $5.
—Waiters who give me a free beverage with my meal. Then I feel forced to add the amount of the drink I got for "free" on to the tip. I'd rather give that money to the establishment, not the waiter who is essentially stealing.

Once a restaurant charged me for 2 sodas when only my wife got one (I had water), but a few times I drank out of her soda.  That was deducted from the tip. :fatty:

I'm seeing this at all the Starbucks drive-thru's now.  Really annoying.

Although I did tip once in the drive-thru cause the guy gave me a free scone.
