Not sure why all the Henson Hate going on.  Let's see now:

- The only player in school history to play in four NCAA Tournaments.
- Broke 21 school records.
- Among K-State's top ten players in 41 statistical categories.
- Still owns school records for career free throw percentage (90%), assists (582), and steals (190).
- Was record holder for career 3-pointers until this season when Jacob Pullen broke it.
- Scored 41 points in a game vs Iowa State.
- Hit 92.5% of this free throws in 1988 (111/120).
- Hit 48 free throws in a row at one point.
- Also spent three years on K-State's track & field team as a decathlete.
- Was a key player when I first started following the Cats.

OK, now you guys list reasons you hate him.  Here, let me help:

1.  He's white.
2.  Shirt-tucks love him.

I would refute those two arguments by pointing out that neither of those things are his fault.

Was he ever an All-American?

Twice Honorable Mention AA and once 1st Team all-conference.

Any recipient that hasn't made an All-American team does not deserve to be up there.

We need to have some level of standards for God's sake.

Lon Kruger was not an All-American.  That is unless you count him being an Academic All-American.

Steve Henson = La Flama Blanca's illegitimate father.  That alone makes him All Amurrikan.
Is that Manhattan?  My God, it's beautiful!

Pullen and Beasley. You should at least be first team all conference and sniff all american.

And Beasley shouldn't even require thought. He was nearly player of the year and should be up there already.

Denis and Bill were both first-team goEMAW all-universe.

pffft, this board had some people who hated Denis up until half-way thru his senior year...

goEMAW all-universe teams aren't decided half-way thru years, dumbass.

This is true.  You can almost make an exception of him as well because of the short run of success he had here as a basketball coach.

Kind of an EMAW lifetime achievement award.

However, I maintain, and have always maintained, that you need to have a defined set of criteria for inclusion so it's objective and not subjective.

Kind of like North Carolina: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Carolina_Basketball#Honored_and_retired_jerseys

Based on their criteria, Kruger would warrant inclusion.  My list might be more inclusive than theirs, but I still think it needs to be defined.

I have no problem with anyone that is already up there, but they need to get Beasley up there ASAP.

Sounds like maybe this guy should have gotten his jersey retired back when he held records that matter. Nobody cares about free throws. I won a Knights of Columbus free throw shooting competition once, and I don't have any jerseys retired.
