I dunno, you kind of start to expect it, we have a real good basketball team.  It is a constant battle not to take it for granted.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

eff that, win in Lawrence and a 1 seed becomes possible.

10% chance we win in larry though.

Will be incredible.  Was hoping for a 5 (maybe 4) seed going into the year.

I remember looking at the Bracket Project in 2007 and 2009 sweating it out.

still could make that 4, don't give up hope yet.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

No doubt.

Hoping for a 4/5 was high end preseason optimism.  Now a 4/5 would mean a poor finish and be very disappointing.

It's pretty amazing.  Everytime I see the " last 4 in/out" stuff on ESPN I get all nervous for like 20 seconds even though I know I don't have to be this year.  Then I'm all   .

Team comparisions for a 2 seed are much more fun than team comparisons for the bubble.

Here are the 6 teams that are likely competing for the four 2-seeds right now.  Below is each of these teams' records vs various breakdowns in the RPI.

Team 1   RPI
1-10   2 - 2
11-50   4 - 1
51-100   4 - 2
101-200   4 - 1
201+   4 - 0

Team 2   RPI
1-10   0 - 1
11-50   9 - 2
51-100   3 - 0
101-200   6 - 1
201+   3 - 0

Team 3   RPI
1-10   0 - 1
11-50   6 - 3
51-100   2 - 0
101-200   8 - 0
201+   3 - 0

Team 4   RPI
1-10   1 - 0
11-50   4 - 2
51-100   3 - 1
101-200   8 - 0
201+   5 - 0

Team 5   RPI
1-10   0 - 0
11-50   7 - 2
51-100   4 - 0
101-200   5 - 1
201+   7 - 0

Team 6   RPI
1-10   0 - 2
11-50   5 - 2
51-100   6 - 1
101-200   7 - 0
201+   1 - 0

we're a 3 seed, which is fine.  that's what we deserve.  don't see us only losing one game (ku) and then getting to the finals in the big 12 tourney.  a 3 seed was beyond my wildest expectations.  now, we cheer for a plethora of upsets in crappy conference tournaments to water down the bracket.

That would buy McDerm at least 2-3 more years though.  Just sayin'.

Yes, this is much more fun than cheering for all Mid Major conf. champs to not lose and thereby taking away at large spots like the last couple of years.

Nothing is worse than watching Butler or Gonzaga lose a fantastic conf. tourney game and feeling disappointed when the underdog wins.
