Interesting read on pace (HBBIQ only)

Would be cool to see for college.  Our awesome OR% would misleadingly decrease our pace.

But our pace is down considerably this year, at least in conference.

True. Without the Denis threat, we are pretty much showing our best chance to win is to make all our games ugly grinders.

We actually had more poss/game in 07-08 than we did both Clemente years.

I still think transition is better than half court for us, even as sloppy as it looked last night.

high TO% would offset the skew in pace resulting from high OR%

great point, MCMW.  But I don't think our TO% is as bad as our OR% is good.

southwell leading the break makes us look better.

True, but we had the best rebounder/player in the country paired with another NBA player. When I look at Frank's tenure, I downplay that season for any trends b/c of that.

Maybe a bit. OR% is very good, top 5% in the country, but TO% is still in the bottom 20%, so there is still a pretty big gap there.
