can't wait to see Sprads against KU's guards. This thread will be bumptastic.  :emawkid:

KU's guards aren't that good.

Selby and Taylor are bad match-up for Sprads.  Their caste players are fine.  Not  :opcat:, just an observation of skillsets.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

KU will foul him a lot and it won't get called and so they will get steals and dunks against sprads.

Give me one example tonight when he's hurt this team.   :comehere:

Passing the ball to CK for him to get fouled and go to the line rather than getting fouled and shooting the FTs himself.

His defense is fine. Not great, not terrible. This is an over done talking point. The dumb TOs, which he's avoided tonight, is legit.

i honestly question if half the posters here, 75% at gpc, and 99% at kstatefans even watch the games.  or if they do, if they have eyes.

Yeah, I made it a point to watch his defense.  He was fine tonight. Occasionally he gets out of position, but tonight he was very solid.  And against quick guards that like to drive.

I think that he's also a situational player like JHR, but with more upside. Some games will be good for him, while some teams are just a terrible matchup for him. KU will be an awful matchup for him, and he's gonna get knocked around. But I think that tonight was probably a good development game for him. The main reason I went off on him after Missouri is that he has this knack to make some awful mental errors and kill momentum just as we're about to land a game-changing or knockout blow. He almost started another tailspin tonight, but we recovered this time. However, he's a freshman, so he still has a chance to fix most of those issues.

looked incredibly talented.  i'm sure their top 10 guy in 2011 & their top 10 guy in 2012 are pretty good too.  they're still waiting for a top 10 commit in 2013.

What situation would JHR be the right guy for?  Like, you have to lose by 50 or terrorists will kill your family?

Yes, but I hope the Sprads lovers don't expect it from him every game. He's a good player, but he's still going to have moments of struggle.

I'm hoping the growing hate of JHR will take some of the attention off Sprads actually.

I have an idea:  if a dude isn't totally badass, at all times, let's all post shitty comments about him on an anonymous message board!  Ready?  I'll go first-  this board is horrible, the vast majority of the time!  Who's next?!

jhr wouldn't bother me if he didn't try to have an offense.  just get rebounds, be tall, and pass.  at least once a game he tries to drive it and he looks extremely awkward.

JHR attacks the basket very aggressively. It was awesome to watch vs. Mizzou, but it's been a train wreck most games. Maybe he'll be better next year.

He attempted 3 shots in 17 minutes (and had 2 Orebs).  :ck:
