I have more respect for the "we won't ever get the elites so we need to coach them up," view point than the "our recruits really ARE elite, but simply hidden gems" view point.  The latter is just stupid.  rough ridin' stupid.

The jackasses on Wabash who are defending our amazing low recruting ranking are doing so based on theories of Snyder's recruiting that were developed years ago, and have since been disproven time and again.

Brent Venables ain't walking through that door....

Good recruiting convo. going on GPC right now discussing our recruiting class sitting at dead last in the B12.  It's only in it's first page but they've already covered:

-Yeah, well, Ron Prince had some highly ranked classes and you see how those turned out
-Obvious Turner Gill/Ron Prince comparo to explain Turner's class being ranked much higher
-Glen Mason and Terry Allen out recruited Bill according to Rivals and he destroyed them
-It's not the talent you bring in it's how you coach them
-Rivals rankings are bullshit
-Stars don't matter
-I'll trust our staff's evaluation of talent over Rivals and other coaches who haven't offered
-We should be able to count the grey shirt kids who we counted last year in this year's class again
-We are addressing issues we have and this is more important than talent
-Totally serious references to hidden gems and diamonds in the rough

-Texas always has a top 5 class and look at them this season

These anomolies DO happen.  For example, I will predict that the frequency with which we see UT have a season like last year is approximately the frequency with which we will see KSU have a season like UT had the year before.

Excellent summary, stephen david. My favorite one is bolded. I'm pretty sure the GPCers are going to count Bryce Brown in at least three more classes, too.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!  We just landed three-star DE Hunter Davis!!!!  However, this does not raise our BCS offer count.

I think this is exactly what Bill is shooting for with waiting until Sr. year to make offers.  :goodbyecruelworld:

Alright, it's time to change the name of this board to Kay Jewelers or something Jewelry Store-related, because I have been seeing those goddamn phrases "diamond in the rough" and "hidden gems" pop up everywhere a Tard speaks or posts on an internet website to try and talk about out shitty recruiting.  I had a talk with my Tard neighbor on Sunday and he said diamond-in-the-rough several times.

No doubt the kid's classes have been pre-audited so they already know he can overcome the herculean obstacles ku places in front of Juco transfers.

Congrats WtW and congrats Tundra, no doubt you're a Rhodes Scholar.

With the University of Kansas' incredible ability to make Juco players a complete non-factor I wouldn't be to concerned Dax.   Not sure we have had an impact juco since I was in school.

I think he works for ESPN now.  May be making that up though.

I'm not sure we can fully evaluate these youngsters until we see their track times and shotput/javelin distances.  Pete, pls update the lists.

Good question. Also worth noting that nepotism is now contagious and has apparently spread to the Lockett family & friends. And people are worried about diseases from NBAF

Does it baffle anyone else that any tard would actually pay for a 'premium' site to see this load of crap before anyone else does?

Tard 1 "Wow, can you believe we got that kicker that also was looking at Boise?"
Tard 2 " Yeah, he's gonna rock and make Cherry look so stupid."
Tard 1 " Should we tell Dobbie about him?"
Tard 2 " Hell no, that's why we pay for this stuff.  He'll find out on that other board soon enough anyway."

Tard 1 & 2 "Yep.   "
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Well, KU just put quite a bit more room between themselves and us....
