Martavious Irving is not what you think he is.

His jumper is so flat that he'll never be a consistent scorer.

He cannot run the point.

He's not as good a defender as we thought he was last season.

The thread topic an overreaction, yes, but...

I'm finding it unbelievable that people think Irving somehow deserves 20+ minutes per game...

While watching Perry Ellis play at the Mcpherson Invitational I encountered a townie that told me emphatically that McGruder was the next coming of Mitch Richmond.

He has never been a good defender. Dunno why people thought that. He is really slow on his feet on defense (Spradler is even slower)
