Pressing

Someone explain to me why we constantly pressed.  It had no effect on them, did not create turnovers, and let them get easy baskets in bunches.

Because we've spent all our time over break practicing free throws.

You know who is usually really rough ridin' good at breaking presses?  Teams that press other teams.  They spend a lot of time practicing their press against themselves.  They get good at both sides of the press.

Not a surprise that our press didn't hurt the most pressing team in the conf.

Meh. They didn't get easy baskets from breaking our press. They got easy baskets from TOs and open 3s when we played lazy on defense in the first half.

Frank's press has always been mainly for pace purposes; speed you up so you make a mistake in your half court offense, or limit your time to set your half court offense.
