I've suddenly come to a crossroads between craft beers and light beers when it comes to weekend activities. 12 Natural Lights won't make me as fat as 12 craft beers.

Nor will the make you as drunk.

FWIW, the alcohol itself is 7 calories per gram, and you end up with roughly 100 calories per 1.5oz shot of 80 proof liquor (or equivalently, a 12 oz bottle of 5% beer) from the alcohol alone.

What I'm trying to say is that we're looking at anywhere from 1 to 3 thousand calories of alcohol a day.

Most light beers are about 100-110 calories per 12 oz. Most craft beers are 160+ per 12 oz, and several top 200 cals.

I understand that. I was talking about the caloric content of only the alcohol in the drink.

stop ordering pizza shuttle drunk and when youre about to binge on 12 natty lights, go for a 2 mile jog, hop in the shower and then crush the beer.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.
