Probably political party but it def comes down who. People on the right (and left for that matter) can have opinions I don't like and are grating but I don't hate them. Others though want to actively make fellow american's lives worse or curtail freedoms, or want to subjugate, those deserve the hate. Most politicians are just w/e at the end of the day, can't fix/improve that much one way than the other.
Most ISU bball/football fans are just annoying at worse. Hate is far too strong for any fan base tbh. The last time I really hated a fanbase was all the Nubbs fans in 2010 when we got rick rolled. But now they're just languishing in mediocrity. If anything I hate our own reply guys crew on twitter more than I do most other fan bases as a whole, and I hate other fan bases reply guys just as much too.
Politics can def be a fandom, and I get when people say that/when people are far too into it. But also it does affect people's lives, and in ways sports could never do, so it matters.
