I feel like that vid of the 09-10 CTR is a great example of OOD at its best.  Booing is great, but it has to be matched with a fevered viciousness and volume throughout the game, especially when the team is struggling.  At times the onus is on the crowd to "will" the home team to success.  Crowds are best when they act to cause things to happen and are not purely reactory.  The place was a library for much of the game and the crowd was horrid particularly in the final minutes of the first half.  I feel it contributed significantly to the teams poor play in that slot of time.

a crowd was 'quiet' after giving up an 18-2 run?  no way

incorrect: a crowd was quiet all throughout the run

nope, the crowd was fine.  You're basing an entire rant on the decisions of a producer and sound engineer.

True, I wasn't there in person, so my complaints my be unjustified.  I still stick by my stance on how a crowd should perform during a game is unwavering.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

from barkingcarnival:

"KSU fans at Bramlage suck. SUCK. Stop booing, you sound like petulant 6 year olds."

..also from barkingcarnival but this guy gets it:

"The K-State fans might be irritably grating with their need to boo everything, but at least they care. That’s more than you can say for our fans at The Library."
