Phil Knight must have lost a bet with the Devil.

How can you have THAT much money, and be that "influential" in the world of Sport and allow your alma mater to have Dana rough ridin' Altman be your basketball coach?  Seriously, WTF?

its gotta be similar to the daniel snyder/jerry jones/al davis effect in the NFL.  at some point, good coaches do draw the line at money vs meddling/overeacting and often career killing ownership.

I love these.  They actually signed the contract in front of everyone and held it in the unfinished arena.  Can't wait for Billy Clyde's at ISU.  They do it the best.

started off w/ several references to "players that want to be here".

Also got some good pressing and running quotes.

heh, apparently the Ducks website was hacked last night and they inserted fake quotes from Altman...

Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

Is Tan Tom still at Pepperdine. It's incredible to me that, at least last year, five former K-State coaches had D-1 head coaching jobs. Has to be a record.

I think Tan Tom finally hung it up for good, with last year being his last. Coach at Pepperdine is a longtime asst named Marty Wilson.
