Did you buy the most expensive brand with the largest hz rating, because if not my friend your tv will probably blow up in a month or two.

Plasma has "600 hz" but it's not really 600hz, it's a subfield drive, they have 6 panels running at 100hz refresh each.

Yeah, about a year ago when I purchased a Plasma television. At the time 120hz LCD was too expensive.
Yeah see, your source material is going to overwhelmingly be 30Hz or 24Hz. So yeah, get something that can play at some multiple of those frequencies. All those xtra tittified Hz do you about jack and feces, besides adding a fecesty post-processed look as they add stuff to the picture that isn't there in the source.
Turn off as much of that stuff as you can.
