Thanks for the advice, I bought the most expensive Monster cables that they sold because I want the best picture and best sound quality.

Did you buy the most expensive brand with the largest hz rating, because if not my friend your tv will probably blow up in a month or two.

hz ratings are for crappy LCD tvs.
Wow, what a dumbass!

LOL. Hz rating means nothing to plasma TVs. Marketing bullshit.

No doubt.  Of course even with a bad LCD,  the picture can be corrected with the best HDMI cables- (Monster brand).

I've got 120hz on my LCD, and compared to an 240hz LCD you have to strain your eyes to see a difference.

Yeah. 240?! Probably overkill.

Plasma has "600 hz" but it's not really 600hz, it's a subfield drive, they have 6 panels running at 100hz refresh each.

Yeah, about a year ago when I purchased a Plasma television. At the time 120hz LCD was too expensive.

Market research and worrying about which tv is the best is such a waste of time. Just buy the most expensive tv and cables. It wouldn't cost the most if it weren't the best.

Yeah see, your source material is going to overwhelmingly be 30Hz or 24Hz.  So yeah, get something that can play at some multiple of those frequencies.  All those xtra tittified Hz do you about jack and feces, besides adding a fecesty post-processed look as they add stuff to the picture that isn't there in the source.

Turn off as much of that stuff as you can.

I keep it all on, it does make a difference and it does look better.  Especially when playing CODMW2
