I just love how they think that if K-State was not in a BCS conference that they would be good at football. Just look at how successful Kentucky was before Louisville joined the Big East. Oh, check out that powerhouse Minnesota. UConn is totally dominant. Honestly, other than Nebraska and Arkansas, I can't think of any school that is the only BCS school in its state that has had a lot of football success, and Arkansas is really pushing it.

Yeah, you can add them, and I guess a case could be made for Colorado. It is still a weak argument.

Missouri pretty much destroys that argument. Boston College too.

The ironic part of all that is that ku won't give ku college credit for courses completed there, which really pisses law enforcement people off.

In the legislature, there are partisans for ku and K-State, and the sad fact is that ku consistently gets more resources (money) per student than KSU does.  You can't throw a dead cat in Topeka without hitting a lawyer from ku, and you know where their loyalties are.  On balance, ku has more clout in the capitol.
