" Why is ku in the Law Enforcement Training business in Hutchinson Kansas? Because ku proposed the program to the Regents and they approved it."
The ironic part of all that is that ku won't give ku college credit for courses completed there, which really pisses law enforcement people off.
In the legislature, there are partisans for ku and K-State, and the sad fact is that ku consistently gets more resources (money) per student than KSU does. You can't throw a dead cat in Topeka without hitting a lawyer from ku, and you know where their loyalties are. On balance, ku has more clout in the capitol.
