So just to confirm, you'd MAYBE take Brady over Peyton in a playoff game, but definitely take Alex Smith, over Peyton Manning, in a playoff game.

If so, I'm  :buh-bye: this thread

no. i'd definitely take brady. i'm not stupid bud. i don't put any faith in the biggest playoff loser of all-time like jackstack. t's and p's to that dumbass.

Alex Smith's playoff win % is worse than Peyton. Also, he's awful at football.

that 108 qb rating tho. also, he beat brees. he lost to eli and luck bud, can't fault him there. you can't spell ELITE WITHOUT ELI.

I can't stay in a discussion with someone who honestly thinks he'd take Alex over Peyton in any situation :buh-bye:
I wouldn't take him over a lot of QBs, Peyton included, but Alex Smith is definitely NOT awful at football.

no jackstack he's right. i was only trolling about alex. he's awful. stop being a dumbass about qb's.

peyton sucks (at everything except pretty regular season stats). alex sucks (at everything). now beat it loser
Not sure if serious.

J-Dub just joking bud. Elway was great. I'd rather have a one legged Elway than Peyton in a big game. 14-8 in the playoffs is pretty damn great.

I really think postseason performance has more to do with coaching than whether the QB chokes or not. Look at Elway under Shanahan vs Elway under Reeves.

You would actually take Eli over Peyton?  Pretty laughable.  Games aren't won by the QB alone.  And even then, Peyton is a MUCH, MUCH better QB than Eli.  I'd take him all day, playoffs or reg season.  Joe Flacco has a super bowl ring and Dan Marino doesn't, I'm still taking Marino.

Quote
okay guys. so by my count that's 16. that puts all-time playoff loser (his 12 losses are the most all-time fyi) peyton in the bottom half of the league right now as far as super stud playoff winning quarterbacking football goes.

Quote
Eli: 8-3 overall. 2-0 against Brady. 2-0 in SB. Stud.

 eli is a stone cold killer. just goes straight for the effing throat.

Both those games were heavily defensive efforts.   Record is NOT a QB stat.   Do you just refuse to acknowledge this or do you actually believe it is?  Eli's teams were of a much higher quality than Peyton's.  Peyton won a super bowl with a defense that has largely been acknowledged as the worst to win a Super Bowl.  Anyone that would take Eli in any game over Peyton or actually believes he is better than Peyton doesnt know how to judge QB play.

i can't believe i let this slip by me earlier! that defense you speak of was going against the worst qb to ever start a super bowl and forced 5 turnovers including a pick 6. oh man, peyton really overcame his crap teammates that day didn't he bud  he didn't even throw an interception right after hester returned the opening kick and then later fumble it away did he?!?  MVP! MVP!

Eli's playoff wins are amazing. Just amazing. I looked it up and these are the teams he beat and the number of regular season wins each team had:

2007:
Tampa Bay 9
Dallas 13
Green Bay 13
New England 16

2011:
Atlanta 10
Green Bay 15
San Francisco 13
New England 13

6 of his 8 wins were against teams with at least 13 wins, and he beat a 15 win and a 16 win team. The only two teams with at least 15 wins since 2004 lost to Eli and the Giants. Remarkable. Just wow.

But yeah, Peyton is the man.

i know bud. yeah, he's inconsistent as hell. throws lots of picks. doesn't get to the playoffs every year blah blah blah...

when that fool gets to the postseason he, like his brother, turns into a different guy. he's effing nails. i love watching playoff eli. love it.
