Scapegoats are always on the offensive end. Nobody will ever beat Jake waters. He brought all the butthurt haters out to the club. It use to be Hubert before that because "he was too slow" to break the big one. :Ugh:

How was that not the truth?

Maybe not his senior year, but with two years with Klein a big time back would have housed it multiple times Hubert got caught.

i'm thinking this thread backfired on ol' FSD.  i mean, does he know what a scapegoat is?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

i'm not disagreeing with the premise of your thread, because you're exactly right.

Jesse Tetuan, Marcus Watts, Frosh Zimmerman all say hi
the first two are excellent examples but I don' recall the last one as a "thing"

Dorian Roberts the year before schelly
great example here

Watching Houlik lose footraces to the sideline was pretty maddening

Lets give him time to develop into the role.  He may not be the right fit.

I remember making fun of Tetuan on goEMAW in the years leading up to goEMAW being started.

Houlik is decent, but I forgot about ultimate scapegoat Alex Hrebec.

damnit, I was thinking of the wrong H named LB.

and really the scapegoating for these guys (especially former walkons like Schellenberger and I believe Hrebec) should all go on the coaching staff for the recruiting and player development failures that result in 5-hearts attempting to cover a Baylor WR in the slot.
