I think we all do.  But on a cold Wednesday night against Texas Tech, you get home late from work, and are watching the game by yourself, chatting it up on goEMAW chat, it's nice to have a better picture, you know?

nobody is saying it's not west mantooth. nobody is saying it's not. in fact, if you gave me the option of watching a game in hd or watching it in sd, i would pick hd 100% of the time. 100.

I bought a $3000 3d panasonic plasma, plugged it in with hd cords, then plugged it in with non-hd cords.  Zero difference.  The key is the quality of tv, not hd or non-hd.  I agree with Rick d.  And yes I know it was dumb to  buy a 3d tv.

The important factors are whether or not a TV is HD-capable and whether or not a signal is HD. HD won't look HD on SD TVs, and SD won't look HD on HD TVs. But yeah, HD picture quality is massively better than SD. Try this sometime on your HD TV: switch between the over-the-air HD signal and the cable SD signal for a particular game. Night and day.
