Helped carry the goal posts down to Rusty's after the 1998 game. That week on campus...heck, the entire season leading up to it was crazy. There really wasn't a thought of losing any game until then...the only question was how much we'd beat all the other teams by and where we'd be ranked headed into the Nebraska game.  Lots of worry around campus about folks who might sell their tickets, since they were going as high as $100  :surprised:  .

I was standing out in front of my dorm at 6 am (some idiot pulled the fire alarm) and remember seeing people walking to the stadium for gameday.

The 2000 game was surreal with the snow. Remember watching Willie up on the press box at the end of the game.

Waking up the morning of the 98 game in our apartment realizing my tickets weren't on my board where they had been all season.  JFC I freaked out.......ended up watching at Auntie Mae's, both  :curse: and  :woot: all at the same time.

That 1991 game still haunts.  Had the game by the ballz and let it slip away.  Chad May was sharp that day.

Impossible, unless you're talking about what he was doing at Cal State Northridge.

Oops... Fullerton instead.  He did light up Pacific that day in a battle of "to be killed" programs.  :gocho:

In '98 my parents went to the game and I was young enough to need a babysitter. I was being driven home and Nebraska scored in the first half and I got so  :curse: that I punched the back of her seat. Then we got home and I fell asleep watching the game (probably tuckered out from all the anger). I woke up to see Crouch do a great impression of the girl in The Exorcist, and then started jumping up and down as Kelly ran in the fumble for a touchdown.

In 2000 I recall having snowball fights and making snow angels on the field. Glorious.

Following the 2000 snow bowl, all of the nubbers left the stadium rather quickly except for one nubb who wandered onto the field in the midst of everyone else rushing the field.  He just stood on the visitors sideline near the south end zone looking up into stands.  But, no one looked at him since everyone was watching the attempts to take down the goal posts.

He slowly took his foot and made a huge 'S' in the snow... from there, you can guess the remaining three letters to spell out 'feces' in huge bold letters in the snow on Wagner Field.

To this day, I am  :bang: for not having any type of camera to capture the moment.  It's not every day you can catch a classy nubb losing it after a loss like that.  I'm sure he applauded the Cats leaving the field after they had just beaten his beloved 'skers.

Secondly, Nebraska was in such a hurry to get back to Lincoln after the game that their equipment truck was loaded up except for something that probably shouldn't have been overlooked.  Players' sideline jackets -- you know, the big, cape type ones.  It made for some interesting souvenirs of the game for some K-State students...  I'm sure they've had Matt Davidson, Dominic Raiola and Eric Crouch autograph them since then.

Better than my prior one:

2008 game vs. NU.  NU fan and wife/ho/bitch/sister sit next to me.....pretty calm, little back and forth, nothing too bad, then all of a sudden, not sure what snapped in this dude but he starts getting all huffy (probably about some anti-NU nugget I tossed out) and starts ranting about the 98 game (WTF?)

Gets so  :curse: :curse: :curse: he reaches into his wife's purse and pulls out a home printed copy of the "alleged" 98 facemask.  I lost it.  This guy was so hung up on a decade old game he prepped a picture at home and had his wife hold onto it.

It goes w/o saying I proceeded to let the section know of this   moment.....which I believe at that point he either left or just melted away.....great moment.

I went to the game in Lincoln in I think 2005.  We lost on a pass interference call, I think.  The Nebraska lady (old) right behind me and I shared a conversation about...not kidding...Valentino's.  She had gone there in Manhattan one time and I think we compared it to the Valentino's in Lincoln.

Was there the same game.  Had a wonderful time, until Tearrius George hit NU QB late and gave them 15 yds and ultimately the GW score.  After the George play, an old ballz NU fan was lol'ing looked at me and my 2 bros and said "heh heh, Snyder sure knows how to recruit those dumb n*g****s, doesn't he?" :opcat:  All 3 of us were just  :surprised: x10000 and with jaws to the ground.  that night the 3 of us sexed up 3 Alpha Chis....so it was OK.

In 1998 I was a H.S. Junior, and huge ksu cats fan.  I remember calling in to some national sports radio talk show before the season and telling them the cats would be in the national championship that fall and to my surprise the guy agreed.   Anyway, I had a bunch of buds over at my house watching the game and we drank sodas and snacks as we watched the greatest ksu victory, like, ever.  Remember that we missed one of ksu's first TD's because they cut into something about Pres. Clinton talking about a war of some kind.  Then I remember how the crapty ABC camera crew missed the final TD pass to McDonald and we were all like... "where did the ball go?"  but then it showed that he caught it and we were like  :woot:.

Later on 3 friends and I were driving around town (mpls ks.) whooping it up, I remember we went to this huge husker fans house and one of my buds rang his door bell then we all honked the horn and yelled at the old NU fan as we sped away.

Soon after, I decided that we needed to go to Manhattan and party.  I had never been partying in Manhattan before so me and my three buds loaded up into my dads Pontiac Gran Prix and made a bee-line for MHK.  When we got there it was glorious there were people out in the streets and Aggieville was a mad house.  Once we parked my buds and I went over to the Theta Xi frat house and some dudes from our HS poured us some drinks and we pre-drank before heading over to the Delta Sigma Phi (i don't know if that is right) over on the corner by City Park.  I guess they call it the haunted hospital.

Wow that place was a dump if I ever saw one but there were a few kegs and they had a real DJamer and the party was pretty incred, especially for me.   Then I started necking with this babe, she thought I was cool when I told her that I was a soph. at Fort Hays, she had a belly button ring.  I felt her boobs, only the second boobs ever for nicname.  Later, me and my buds and the other dudes from the Theta Xi house were like, this place is a dump.  So we decided to vandalize it by pissing in their potted plants(inside the house) and taking one of their plaques.

Finally at around 1AM one of my buds was dancing on the stairs of the frat house leading up to the second floor and he fell and knocked over the railing of the steps.  I think the frat leader had had enough so we left victoriously.

My dad grounded me for like 2 weeks for it.  I told him that it was worth it.

Incredible story Nicname.  I have a feeling your dad was really proud of you but was forced into grounding you by Mom.  Did he know you felt boobs?

Went to hear new BBall coach Tom Asbury talk prior to the 94 game.  With the opening of basketball practice under him for the first time and the upcoming game against Nebraska, he said it was going to be, "The greatest weekend in K-State sports history."  :combofan:

He was pretty pissed that I stole his car.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I used to pull cable for the jumbo-tron camera down on the field when I was in high school.  After the 2000 Nebraska game the students took our cable and started looping it around the goal post to try to help pull it down but it kept breaking.  I told the camera guy that I was going to try to get it back but really I just went and joined in the celebration.  I didn't come back for a couple hours and by that time they knew what happened and the camera guy was pissed.

On the field you work with 2 other guys and since I was in charge of finding the other 2, I had my cousin and my friend.  They joined me in the festivities and in the end we all got fired.

It was a sweet gig while it lasted with full access to anything during our best years, but I can't say I regret doing it.

We know some of the same people and I remember watching those guys do that - wondering who was going to get fired for that one.
Good is better than Evil because it's nicer.

I fondly remember the 2002 game the week of my 21st birthday.  My roommates and I talked a lot of feces on Jammal Lord and Solich that year.  I remember the night before the game standing on a table on the front porch of Rusty's and chanting "suck my solich" for a while.  Talked a lot of feces on UNL fans in Manhattan that night...I am "that fan"

Am watching the 2003 game tape right now to get my mind right.  It is bringing back some memzys.

Driving home to Manhattan with my dad after the game was incredible.  We just listened to Husker radio meltdowns about Bo Pellini.  Half callers who were all, "Snyder is a classless jerk!" vs. half Husker people who were all, "It's our job to stop them!"  Meltdown citay.

Then I got home to our apartment complex where my roommates and friends were already pak'ing pretty hard.  One girl there was dating this douchebag from Nowhere, Nebraska who was way too old to be dating a chick her age.  d00d already had a five year-old.  Guy was the worst, and was the only Husker fan at the party.  When I walked in, fresh from being at the 38-9 beatdown, guy looks at me and goes, "So.  How much did you guys pay the refs?"  We clowned that fool pretty good.

It's Bill Braske day, motherfrackers!!!

Other random mem: before either the 1998 game or the 2000 game, I remember they gave away a weird promotional hat thingy that was weird.  It wasn't quite a winter cap and it wasn't quite any other kind of normal hat.  It was pretty much a cheapo ski mask, I guess.  But I do remember it was designed to look like a Qhatz football helmet.  One problem, though, was that it was totally knock-off-y and crappy, and they forgot to put the little ear thingy in the powercat.  It was just gray like the rest of the background.  Anybody still have theirs?

Hmm...I was at '00, I don't remember that at all.  Had to have been '98.

Also, that's just about the funniest/greatest thing I've ever seen.  The missing ear thing or whatever is the piece de resistance.

DeputyDaw, the part he's talking about the missing Powercat ear.  But the neckholes are awesome too, thanks for pointing that out.

That photo was taken while wrangling a TV antenna on top of a bus, I think.  And no, it's not the CatTracker.
