I think when I retire I’d like to get really in to the JFK assassination or something like that. Like lots of time in the public library and then trips to Dallas and DC. Really get wild with it. Just don’t have the time to put in these days.

Who else had a high school history teacher that was obsessed?

Ours took a group of students to Dallas every other year.

i haven’t bought a carbon steel yet, how was the learning curve? 

the steak looks great, where’d you get it?

I got one for Christmas a few years ago

I really only use it for searing steak/pork chops/roasts etc.

Cleaning is easy, you can use soap and water, have to hand dry. I haven’t had a need to re-season it but that’s very easy too.

 heavy af but not like cast iron.

You could absolutely cook eggs in it or whatever. It’s very non stick

This was about 100$

Steak was from Fareway market. 2.5 pound ribeye chop.

Went to Ninfa's for some Mex-breakfast today and was pretty disappointed. Pretty bland stuff. Great 'tillas though.

Mexican places are notoriously chincy with the salt.  Chile and lime is their seasoning
