I like Dax's meltdowns because you can tell he doesn't know anything about the game of basketball.  zacker is more knowledgeable about the game.

We had a bunch of lazy turnovers and they shot out of this universe to end the first half.  Bfd

On the TD to Moore where 2y looks at Elamur...like, regardless of whether he got jammed or not, I mean, Hartman isn't going to be able to get there.  Look where Hartman's lined up.  There's 3 defenders to two receivers, up top has 3 defenders to 3 receivers....and Hartman is going to shade the outiside shoulder of the inside receiver?  I mean, wtf is that alignment? He's 6 yards from the f'ing sideline and from his alignment about 15/18 or so yards from the end of his "zone" to the middle of the field.  Lamur was probably supposed to get some more depth towards the inside, but even then look at where hartman starts and finishes...all he did was f'ing backpedal

Its hard to tell, but it looks like both Hartman and Lamur were overly focused on Blackmon on the outside. Neither seemed to account for Moore, but if it was a version of cover 2 then Lamur has to help over the middle either by a good jam on the inside receiver, or taking #2 man if he crosses. Either way, my main complaint is playing cover 2 on the goalline in the first place. I'd rather take a chance with some sort of man with a free defender to bracket Blackmon. Then send some pressure from one of the inside linebackers.

kstate had a defensive playbook from 96 on scribd at one time.  one of the key defensive philosophy in there was to get more agressive once a team entered the scoring zone inside the 30.  I think the stoops's would have had a stroke watching us in a cover two in that situation.

Posnanski explains himself...

Agree or disagree with him, that was a fantastic read from him.

no, it was his same sappy, windy bullshit he's always written. He's a terrible writer, I have no idea why people like him.

dot dot dot

Seriously.

Did she get caught and then drive off a bridge in Miami county?

no but I"m pretty sure they told her to eff off after her 3rd year.  She also wore a wig because she pulled all her hair out.

i was looking for stats for "this year" , but apparently to my surprise, i guess these "exhibition" games don't actually count. So i can't use we beat Ft Hays St by 20+ more points than you guys did or that Ft. Hays St played you guys almost even in the 2nd half, i wish i could, but the "stats" dont count

speak engrish prease

In all honesty, the taste of deer meat has more to do with factors other than diet...specifically the time of year and how clean the kill is.  If it's during rut and you don't get a clean kill, it's probably going to be VERY gamey from all the adrenaline and increased blood flow.  If it's a clean kill and pre-rut, the meat is going to taste better because there is much less adrenaline and the deer aren't as stressed.

The best preparation for venison is to marinate the tenderloin in some soy sauce, honey, garlic, onion chowder, etc. and then grill it to rare/medium rare.  Served it sliced thin on a bed of quinoa pilaf and drizzle it with a mixed berry puree.  I also put it in a food processor with some pork fat and make hamburgers out of it...no more done than medium, obvi.  Venison chili is great too.

And yes, this thread has taken a clear turn towards GPC territory. :shakesfist:  I was more interested in talking about how everyone's season is going so far, not about the taste of rough ridin' venison.

BTW, rifle "hunting" for deer isn't hunting.  It's just killing.  There's no sport in it and it's a totally unfair fight.  Rifle hunting is for lazy retards.  #teamarchery

sounds like you don't like the taste of venison either imo
